These Terms and Conditions apply to Lock & Lindfield’s promotional offer under which eligible customers may receive a free smart thermostat supplied and installed in connection with a qualifying boiler installation.
1. Promoter
This promotion is offered by Lock & Lindfield.
2. Promotion Period
The offer applies to qualifying orders booked between May 1st and May 31st
For the purposes of this promotion, an order is considered “booked” when:
Lock & Lindfield has accepted the order for the qualifying works; and any required deposit has been paid.
3. Eligibility
This offer is open to customers who book a qualifying new boiler installation during the Promotion Period, subject to these Terms and Conditions.
4. Qualifying Works
This offer applies only to new boiler installations supplied and installed by Lock & Lindfield.
The offer does not apply to:
- boiler repairs;
- boiler servicing;
- replacement parts;
- controls-only upgrades;
- smart thermostat-only installations;
- replacement boiler installations, unless confirmed in writing by Lock & Lindfield;
- plumbing or heating works not involving a qualifying new boiler installation; or
- any other non-qualifying products or services.
5. Area of Availability
The promotion is only available for qualifying works within areas where Lock & Lindfield is actively advertising and operating locally, and within Lock & Lindfield’s service area.
Lock & Lindfield reserves the right to decide whether a property or booking falls within the qualifying area.
6. Reward
Eligible customers will receive one free smart thermostat supplied and installed with a qualifying new boiler installation.
7. One Free Smart Thermostat Per Qualifying Order
Only one free smart thermostat will be supplied and installed per qualifying order, regardless of:
- the number of occupants at the property;
- the number of heating zones at the property; or
- whether there are joint customers or joint payers.
8. Thermostat Model and Specification
The free smart thermostat included in this promotion will be a model selected by Lock & Lindfield.
Lock & Lindfield reserves the right to:
- choose the make, model, colour, and specification of the smart thermostat;
- provide an equivalent alternative where necessary due to availability, compatibility, or supply issues; and
- determine whether the property’s heating system is suitable for the included thermostat.
- Any upgrade to a different thermostat model or specification may be available at additional cost.
9. Installation Requirement
The free smart thermostat will only be supplied and installed as part of the qualifying new boiler installation carried out by Lock & Lindfield.
It cannot be claimed separately, retrospectively, or in relation to an installation already completed.
10. Compatibility and Technical Limitations
This offer is subject to the existing heating system, boiler system, internet availability, electrical setup, and property configuration being compatible with the smart thermostat installation.
If Lock & Lindfield reasonably determines that:
- the property is not technically suitable;
- additional works are required beyond a standard installation;
- specialist components are needed; or
- the smart thermostat cannot be safely or properly installed,
Lock & Lindfield reserves the right to:
- offer a suitable alternative;
- withdraw the free thermostat element of the promotion; or
- offer installation subject to additional charges.
Where additional works are required and the customer does not wish to proceed, no cash or alternative credit will be offered unless Lock & Lindfield agrees otherwise in writing.
11. Standard Installation Only
The free installation element of this offer applies only to a standard smart thermostat installation completed at the same time as the qualifying boiler installation.
The offer does not include:
- remedial electrical work;
- internet or Wi-Fi setup;
- mobile phone or app setup;
- upgrades to existing heating controls beyond standard connection requirements;
- decorative making good;
- additional wiring works outside a standard installation; or
- any extra labour or materials required due to unusual site conditions.
Any non-standard works may be chargeable.
12. No Cash Alternative
The free smart thermostat offer:
- is non-transferable;
- is non-exchangeable;
- cannot be redeemed for cash or account credit; and
- cannot be substituted for another product or discount unless Lock & Lindfield chooses to do so.
13. No Combination with Other Offers
This promotion cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer, discount, promotion, voucher, cashback, free gift, or incentive unless Lock & Lindfield confirms otherwise in writing.
14. Cancellation / Non-Completion
If:
- the booking is cancelled;
- the installation does not go ahead;
- the customer withdraws from the order;
- the deposit is not paid when required; or
- Lock & Lindfield is unable to complete the installation due to circumstances attributable to the customer,
then the customer will not be entitled to the free smart thermostat.
If the thermostat has already been supplied or installed in error, Lock & Lindfield reserves the right to remove it, charge for it, or recover its value where legally permitted.
15. Right to Amend or Withdraw
Lock & Lindfield reserves the right to amend, suspend, or withdraw this promotion and/or these Terms and Conditions at any time where reasonably necessary, including in the event of:
- administrative error;
- pricing error;
- product availability issues;
- compatibility issues;
- suspected misuse of the promotion; or
- circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
16. Misuse and Abuse
Lock & Lindfield reserves the right to refuse the free thermostat offer where it reasonably believes:
- the promotion has been manipulated or abused;
- false, misleading, or incomplete information has been provided; or
- the eligibility criteria have not been met.
17. Manufacturer Terms
Any smart thermostat supplied as part of this promotion may be subject to the manufacturer’s own product warranty, user terms, and app/software terms.
Lock & Lindfield is not responsible for third-party app performance, software changes, or manufacturer service interruptions.
18. Liability
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.
Subject to that, Lock & Lindfield shall not be liable for:
- indirect or consequential loss;
- issues caused by third-party software, apps, or internet connectivity;
- incompatibility with customer devices;
- delays caused by product shortages or availability; or
- any loss arising from customer misuse of the smart thermostat or app.
19. Acceptance
By booking qualifying works under this promotion, the customer is deemed to have accepted these Terms and Conditions.
